Step into our mixed aged classrooms of children ranging in age from 30 months to 5 years, you will be amazed at the cohesiveness and level of engagement the children have when working with the Montessori materials. Children learn at their own individual pace and as such, are given individual lessons to ensure learning is perfectly tailored to each individual student.
Our mixed age classroom fosters an environment of learning through example. Having classrooms ranging in size from 16 – 24 children for our Daycare program, provides an environment whereby children are given enough attention to learn effectively, while still being large enough to promote leadership and social development.
Who was Maria Montessori?
Our School adheres to the unique philosophy set out in the 19th century by Dr. Maria Montessori. Maria Montessori was a brilliant physician and educator born in Italy in the late 19th century. She is most famous for her studies and research on the development of children. By 1920, she had become an advocate for children’s rights, with her work attracting global attention. Her books and papers had been translated into many languages and by 1950, more than 4000 schools were teaching her methodologies in dozens of countries. Maria Montessori was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times for her work which has fundamentally changed the way we view children and how they mentally and socially develop.
Based on Maria Montessori’s time-tested approach to development, students are introduced to five different areas of instruction over the course of a three year learning cycle:

SENSORIAL
LANGUAGE
FLEXIBLE PROGRAMS : We understand that three year olds have different learning needs from four and five year olds. Our program accommodates for this by offering part time and full time options. You can select the program that fits with the learning needs of your child.
